I'm Back to Riding Horses Again!

My name is Deb and I’m 52 years old. I spend a lot of my time riding horses and keeping active with various tasks around the house.  I was working around my house one day lifting and throwing firewood into a stove when I experienced a sharp shooting, pain down my left leg. I couldn’t get comfortable in any position, so I went to the Medical doctor who ordered X-rays, MRI’s and prescribed me vicodin and then sent me to physical therapy. The MRI showed I had both a degenerative and herniated disc that was causing my problem. The medication and the physical therapy weren’t helping so I contacted the Lordex Spine Center. I Feel 30 Years Younger!!

My name is Kay, I am 64 years old and enjoy staying active, working around my home and walking.  About 2 years ago I began noticing pain in my low back when I would kneel in church or go for my usual walks.  The pain in my low back became very severe and began going down my left leg.  When I would stand up from sitting my back would lock up on me.  My leg became weak and I started having falls.  With a great deal of pain I would actually have to concentrate to move my leg. Back to Work After Only 3 Treatments

My name is Mark, I am 47 years old and have worked in construction for over 20 years.  My job involves a lot of bending, crouching, lifting, kneeling and reaching.  I injured my low back while at work, carrying a heavy plan, making it very hard for me to perform my duties.  I experienced pain in my low back that ran down my leg. Low Back Surgery CANCELLED!

My name is Jen, I am 32 years old and I work as a stay at home mom taking care of my two children.  I believe my pain started as a result of years of ware and tear on my body from housework and lifting my children.  The pain was horrible and I could only identify myself by the pain I was in.  I couldn’t sleep, sit or walk without excruciating pain. Working in my Garden AGAIN!

My name is Trevor, I am 27 years old and I enjoy hunting and riding my bikes.  I work for a cable company which requires me to do a lot of climbing, bending, and lifting.  One day while carrying a ladder I tripped and fell causing me to rupture two discs in my lower back.  It wasn’t until the next day that I started feeling sharp shooting pains in my low back going down into my legs.  For the first week after the injury I was taking Vicodin with minimal relief.  I could no longer hunt or ride my bike without getting severe pains in my back and legs.  I continued to live with the pain for a month and a half before I heard about the Lordex Spine Center.  My doctor told me that I would end up having to have surgery on the ruptured discs but I refused to see surgery as an option.  My mom told me about the Lordex Spine Center and how the doctors and staff could help me avoid surgery.  After the first couple of treatments I noticed a big drop in my pain level and I was able to perform more tasks at work without constantly stopping to relieve the pain.  The doctors and staff were so helpful throughout every aspect of the procedure.  They were professional and helped me feel comfortable at all times.  I am now able to return to my daily activities pain free. 

No 2nd Low Back Surgery for Me!

I’m 51 years of age and I work as a machine operator. I had been suffering from severe low back and leg pain for over 6 years. In May of 2000, I underwent a lumbar laminectomy at the L4-L5 level. Since the surgery I have continued to suffer with LBP and weakness in his right foot which causes me to drag my toes and slap my foot down when walking. A follow up MRI performed in July 2002 revealed disc bulging from L2-L4 accompanied with an L4-L5 disc protrusion. My job requires me to stand on concrete for 8-10 hours a day, repetitively twisting, turning, bending, lifting, pushing and pulling. The pain has continuously gotten worse and has limited my effectiveness at work and at home. I decided to try the Lordex procedure because I was very frustrated with the constant pain and minimal relief I continued to experience from the first low back surgery, all the medication and physical therapy prescribed to me by my doctor. I didn’t want another surgery.  After completing the recommended decompression therapy and  low back treatment protocol at the Lordex Spine Center I no longer suffer from any low back and leg pain. They also taught me how to strengthen the supporting muscles for my low back to prevent re-injury. My ability to bend, twist and turn is now performed pain free. Playing Golf AGAIN!!! 

I’m 79 years old and sufferred with debilitating low back and leg pain. The pain increased when I would twist, turn, bend or lift anything. Surgery is NOT Your Only Option!

I am 46 years old and I work as a carpenter. I injured my low back while at work when I attempted to lift a heavy saw off the floor, which resulted in a sudden sharp pain in my lower back.  The pain began to limit my productivity at work and my ability to sleep comfortably or engage in social activities. The MRI report revealed degenerative disc, disc bulging, and stenosis, at multiple levels in my lumbar spine. I had been sufferring with low back pain that wouldn't go away for about 6 months. I had tried medications for pain and to relax my muscles, had epidural shots in my back, went to the physical therapist, tried an acupuncturist, went to the Chiropractor and nothing seemed to help for any period of time. The Pain Clinic doctor stated that he could try burning the nerve and disc to deaden the pain and the neurologist that I saw said he recommended low back surgery. I know that without decompression therapy, surgery would have been inevitable.  I am now working with minimal pain and am back to enjoying life.  Thank God I found the Lordex Spine Center.

Back to the Jobsite in No Time

Working as a general contractor I don't have time to be laid up with an injury.  That's why when I injured my low back and was unable to walk without excruciating leg pain I was frieghtened.  I can't work without my back.  My medical doctor ordered an MRI which showed a herniated disc, he instantly recommended surgery...I thought "more time off work". I went to Dr. Horn for an evaluation and he explained to me that I did have another option, decompression therapy.  I did have to take a short period of time, about 2 weeks, away from work, but after about 8 visits I could walk again without severe pain and was able to return to the jobsite.  My business would have never survived with a 6 month recovery after surgery.   

Up and Running

I was a foundry worker and couldn’t even dress myself

I have had low back and leg pain for over 30 years.  My entire life I worked in a foundry and at the age of 84 my years of lifting metal molds and moving heavy objects throughout the day had made even putting my pants on by myself impossible.  I was prescribed pain medications but they only helped for a short time and were making me sick to my stomach.  Chiropractic care and physical therapy treatments for many years helped relieve some of my discomfort.  Unfortunately, the pain gradually worsened, and I was unable to walk even a short distance and as I said, couldn’t even dress myself.  X-rays of my low back showed stenosis.   I was frustrated and could not continue to live this way; I searched for different avenues to help.  When I first came to the Lordex Spine Center I couldn’t bend in any direction without sharp and stabbing pain. After 3 weeks of treatments my pain had greatly decreased.  I now have no pain and I am able to walk steadily and with confidence.  I can work around the house again and have regained my independence.

Bowling Again

For six months, I was suffering with pain in the right side of my neck like no other pain I had ever experienced.  Pain medicine and Chiropractic adjustments were providing only temporary relief. The deep nauseating pain that I was experiencing was preventing my participation in hobbies such as bowling and knitting.  When I started with HNS treatments, I was doubtful anything but surgery would help me… I was wrong.  This program has given me back all movements without pain!  I am now able to bowl in my bowling league and knit as often as I like.  The staff and Doctors are absolutely the best!  From the time I walked through the door the first day, everyone has been fantastic.  I felt more like a member of their family than a patient.  I think they should give lessons to all medical clinics on how to treat patients, both medically and personally.  I have felt comfortable from day one (something I rarely feel in a medical facility).

Simply Opening Doors Was Painful

For over ten years I had been slowly losing the use of my right arm due to weakness and limited mobility.  I also had numbness in my right thumb that caused constant discomfort.  I couldn’t close a door without sending my arm and shoulder into spasms.  My activity level was decreasing.  I had no idea what was causing my pain until I started treatment at the Lordex Spine Center.  With each HNS treatment I have noticed decreased shoulder pain and decreased numbness in my right thumb.  The HNS machine has helped so much.  I now have little to no pain, and my activity level is near normal.  I am able to use as hammer, go swimming, and carry heavy loads without any increased pain!  I greatly appreciate the staff at CFW, they are the best!

Fifteen Years of Headaces
